Creatively, Insatiable...

Some of the many hats I wear as a Diva include Mom, Wife, Mother, Executive and Purveyor of the Arts. I have a tendency to live life as emotionally as possible. This creates for a rather rewarding experience. How does one approach life from the emotional realm? First and foremost, you consider all things with a love and passion for learning and experience.  I am passionate about my experience of life.

For example, I love all aspects of the Arts. Music, Dance, Graphic Expression, Theatre, Film you name it and I am there trying to experience what the creator was feeling during the creation of the piece. Follow me, if you dare and listen to the creations of Sulic & Hauser in their classical creations , 2Cellos. The energy and sounds that come forth in the piece "Smooth Criminal" are exciting and masterful. When listening, you can hear the percussion, the intense passion and the flow of the music. I am enthralled when I consider that the entire piece is done with...two cellos.  The fluidity of the stringed instrument is hypnotic to me. My mind is free to dance along the strings of the melody, all the while feeling the emotion of the musician.

I have an insatiable desire to experience all of the wonderful emotions that flow from the creative people I meet. Whether it be food, song, music, prose, drama, art, sculpture; I enjoy creating my own storyline of what the artist was feeling.

Have you looked at a painting lately, perhaps by a Master like Picasso, or a Modern Artist like Ted Ellis? Have you considered the brush strokes, colors and mood of the artist? Have you listened to a piece by Bach and let the music flow over you or perhaps simply enjoyed the song of the morning birds? Today's music has evolved from the soulful ballads of R&B, Country and Rock. But I still sing songs from Roberta Flack's First Take Album.

We are a creative people. It is important to not get lost in the logic and rhetoric of this technical age. Our souls long for creativity.

The Diva's Have Crowned A New Princess...

The Diva's of Late Night Houston have been pampered tenfold by having their appetites and thrists satiated at America's Post Oak Restaurant. We have crowned a Diva Princess because she knows what Diva's love. She has an unending list of delectable tonics and elixirs that will take the edge off your most trying days or intensify the celebration of the most exciting evenings.
Our Princess is none other than the America's Mixologist, Monica.  She shakes a mean martini! And those who drink martini's know they are to be shaken, not stirred. My new favorite martini is the Mayan Martini. Monica muddles lime, jalapenos, orange and vodka then pours it into the shaker over ice for the sensuous shake before pouring it into a martini glass.
The Mayan Martini is like a warm lover who bites the lip with a gentle kiss of orange, lime and vodka. The next time you're at America's, ask Monica to make you a Mayan Martini.
Go ahead, spice up your life!

The Sensual Art Of Cooking With Chef Michael Cordua...

The Divas of Late Night Houston (DLNH) have been cooking something up with the wonderfully talented Chef Michael Cordua of the America's Post Oak Restaurant. The Diva's show, (airing soon) is featuring Chef Michael preparing delightful table side fare that is perfect for late night.
Chef Michael makes it look sinfully easy as he prepares seared scallops with an asparaus garnish and a jumbo lump crab meat salad with peeled tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. The seafood is so fresh, it melts in your mouth. It is a totally encompassing feeling to be able to use all of your senses to fully appreciate each meal. Each bite is an incredibly sensual experience.
The love of cooking is paramount in Chef Michael. His spices seem to bring out the magic of aromas, taste and feel. It's amazing how salt, pepper, lime, jalapeno, cilantro, onion and olive oil can create the truly passionate Latin experience that is Americas.
Join the Divas and experience the creative genius of Chef Michael Cordua...once you taste your senses will keep you coming back for more
And wait until you sip the delightful concoctions of the Diva's favorite Mixologist, Monica...
Ciao Darlings, it's late and the Divas have a schedule to keep...
